This is where our journey begins. Get to know our company and what we do. We stand for quality and excellent service. Join us as we grow and achieve success together. We are glad you are here to be part of our story.
Since starting his worm farm in 1992, Jan Hofmans has accumulated extensive knowledge about worm cultivation. Much of this expertise was gained through hands-on experimentation and by closely observing the worms' reactions. By conducting his own research, he achieved the perfect balance for breeding healthy, uniformly sized worms. Much of the work is performed by hand, allowing for constant monitoring of the worms' quality and health. Wormenkwekerij Hofmans has since grown into one of the largest worm farms in the Netherlands, producing over 100,000 kg of worms annually.

What we offer: Worms. We primarily breed *Dendrobena veneta*, a worm mainly used for fishing due to its tough skin and longevity underwater. These worms are sold only in large quantities, with a minimum order of 100 kg. However, we have extensive contacts—including abroad—so we can likely put you in touch with the right supplier for smaller quantities. When preparing the worms for transport, we clean them thoroughly and pack them in fresh peat. For safe shipping, they are placed in breathable bags; these bags are put into crates, which are then stacked on a pallet. We offer the worms in various sizes, ranging from small to extra-large. A limited supply of *Eisenia fetida* (compost worms) is also available. Please contact us for more information.

Compost – The compost produced by our worms, also known as "Black Gold," is rich in N, P, and K nutrients and boosts microbial biodiversity. As the worm digests its food, the resulting compost is encapsulated in a thin layer of mucus. This ensures the nutrients are released slowly into the soil, providing long-lasting nourishment. We offer two types of compost: coarse and fine. The compost is sold exclusively in large quantities, with a minimum order of 25 m³.
I cannot say enough about the excellent service I received from your company. The team went above and beyond to meet our needs and exceeded our expectations.
